Will Xgrid ever work for gaming?

I've not yet bought a Mac to use Xgrid, and I read that only specialized programs can be used. Please tell me which programs.

Xgrid niche

Xgrid is indeed very much a 'niche' product at this point. It is used mostly with in-house specialized programs at universities or other relatively large institutions. One of the limiting factor is that running an Xgrid server is only officially supported if you run Mac OS X server.

I only know of 2 'commercial' programs that use it : Podcast Producer (comes with Mac OS X server), and Visual Hub.
