flickr

I'm not sure if flickr is a social network but besides mailing list and news groups, flickr is the only site that make me feel to belong a group in the net.

Social networking

I am not interested in social networks via the Internet. Scientific conferences and working visits at other research institutes are more important for social networking according to my opinion.

So, I have chosen the best option: 'other'. It would have been a better pole, when an option was included like 'I do not participate in Internet social networking'.

Epernicus

I guess Epernicus should have a separate listing rather than be buried in the 'Other' category. If you haven't heard of it, it's a social networking site designed for scientists. Though it's perhaps less 'social' than some of these other sites, it does try fulfilling some needs of scientists, and allows a forum for raising questions about research-related problems.

I like facebook because it is easy to get to all my friend and family, but Twitter is doing pretty good too, :) if you are a fan of some celebrity and also they are on Twitter then it would be nice and fun to update news with them closely :)

I use Twitter the most among social networking sites. I like to write something short which Twitter suit me. Twitter is a concept of micro blog.
