RA position at Cambridge University - Dept of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience

The Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience (PDN) has installed a cluster of Apple Xserve computers to perform simulations and analyses on various ongoing research projects in cell and developmental biology. We are now seeking a Research Assistant with computer programming experience to interact with investigators and help them develop programs and migrate existing applications to the cluster. The successful applicant will be proficient in either C or IDL programming language and have a good understanding of biology. Previous experience with the OS X operating system will be an advantage. The appointment is for one year in the first instance with a possibility of renewal for a second year. Salary range £21,682 – £24,403.
