I just wanted to point out that distributed.net actually predates SETI@home by several years. It would be nice if someone added that to the front page.

To be honest, I hadn't heard of distributed.net until yesterday. They may well have been the first, but that is not really the point. We quoted SETI because everyone knows it, and will immediately know what OpenMacGrid is about. There are many other grids we could also mention, but that was not really the point of the post.
