Mobile Science Apps

It seems a little quiet around here so I thought I'd mention a web page I've been putting together.

Finding scientific applications on the AppStore is not trivial so the Mobile Science page is intended to provide a list of iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch applications that might be useful to scientists.

If there are any that should be included let me know. It might also be useful to highlight any opportunities for new applications.

Hey, I think you should check out oScope for the iPhone and iPad. It's an oscilloscope for the iPhone.

Again, I'm not trying too hard to adversise my own products, but I've released a two new scientifics apps since your last update:

  1. MolSim: real-time 2D molecular simulation of spherical atoms in your pocket... Explore the phase diagram by varying density and temperature.
  2. Isotope Data: abundance, half-life, weight, decay modes, spin, ... for the whole nucleide list!

Thanks for all the

Thanks for all the suggestions, I've updated the page.

They are a bit pricey, but I

They are a bit pricey, but I own these iPhone apps by Faber Acoustical related to generating or measuring sound signals. These apps are useful in a pinch, for example when you need to perform a quick-and-dirty level calibration of a home cinema speaker setup or generate noise signals for frequency spectrum measurement.

  • SignalScope - Real-time FFT analyser and oscilloscope.
  • SignalSuite - Signal generator which can create periodic, noise and swept-sine stimuli. Noise signals include white spectrum, pink spectrum and maximum length sequence (MLS).
  • SoundMeter - Sound level meter with signal generator. Offers flat, A or C weighting. Also offers absolute dB SPL calibration.

All added, Thanks

Can you please add the "Graph" app:
