Microscope camera image capture software

I have a MDC560 digital camera which has proprietary TWAIN driver and ScopePhoto image/video capture software that is only for Windows. Made by this company http://www.scopephoto.cn/

My question is: Being TWAIN, is there any general driver and capture software that would work with this camera on a Mac?

Or are all drivers hardware specific?

These cameras are very reasonably priced compared to others, do a good job, the only hassle having to use it via Windows on a Mac. And the manufacturers "have no plans to produce Mac software versions".

I have the same camera and the same question.

The answer from ScopePhoto is apparently unchanged.
