It's frustrating to wrap "linenomath" environments around every AMSMath environment when you want to use amsmath and lineno together (for example, to make a doc that looks like an Elsevier preprint).

I've posted a quick fix that can be copied and pasted into a LaTeX preamble. The history behind this fix can be found in a comp.text.tex post.

I thought that might be useful to someone.
