Free contig assembly software

I used to just use 4Peaks to analyze (ABI) sequences, but I've just started working in a new lab where they just use PCs. The sequences they receive here are just text files and already had the vector removed so they just paste the lot into CAP3 and make a contig assembly. They also use Blast2Go.
I wondered if there is a free Mac program though that could do this all for me. Serialcloner, CLC sequence viewer, and the trial versions of things such as Geneious and Sequencher (can't copy/paste out of it) won't allow this. The "free-er" the better.
Many thanks in advance.

XplorSeq seems to be the ideal solution, for those in a similar position.
