Absoft updates Fortran compiler suite for Intel Mac OS X

Absoft announced today a significant update to its Fortran compiler suite for OS X Intel systems. Many new features have been added to Absoft Pro Fortran, with the primary ones being:

  1. auto-vectorizing SSE4+ support
  2. auto-parallelization for multi-core and multi-processor systems
  3. new parallel make facility which automatically handles Fortran module dependencies
  4. Xcode 3.1 plug-in and upgraded IDE
